Do’s and Don’ts of Makeup for Creating a Flawless Summer Look

Scorching sun and raising temperatures call for changing the makeup routine to look flawless and fabulous. Every woman should have a few tips and tricks up her sleeve to create a perfect look. Below are a few do’s and don’ts which would help you to look elegant yet vibrant avoiding all the blunders.   

1. First and foremost, whatever the weather is one must take a very good care of their skin and for that they should properly exfoliate their skin and not only that should wear proper sunscreen and use products with SPF in it.
2. Less is more. Stop layering loads and loads of makeup products whether it is base, eye shadow or bronzer. No one wants to look overdone. It is one of the most important tips to keep in mind. Shift to matte foundation and avoid using any oil-based moisturizers.
3. Match your foundation to your skin tone. Stick to the products that enhance your skin and features rather than those which change it.
4. Do use undereye concealer to look fresh but use concealer which is only two tones lighter than your skin tone or else it would make it more prominent and scarier looking.
5. The idea is to look more natural rather than too cakey and overdone so use a taupe matte bronzer and avoid using warm toned bronzer.
6. Use blush on the apple of your cheeks and blend upward. Highlight only the nose, cupid bow and highpoints of the cheeks whereas avoid highlighting the apple of cheeks.
7. Use soft and neutral eyeshadows more like taupe, and subtle coral which would give you a natural glowing look. Avoid wearing full smokey-eye look or any other dark shades especially during the day.
8. Wear a soft, nude lipstick and avoid lining your lip using any dark lip pencil. Do not use winter colors.
9. Use only black and brown eyeliner and mascara and curl your eyelashes but avoid wearing fake heavy lashes.
10. Use waterproof products and by that we do not refer to eyeliner and mascara only, but other makeup products also come in waterproof category.
11. Always keep makeup wipes in your bag as during the summer due to sweating you might need wipes to fix your look at any time.
12. Invest in good tools such as brushes, sponges etc. and keep them clean otherwise you would get acne.

Let your skin breathe and do not go overboard while doing your make up. Heat and humidity would melt the makeup on you face and would ruin your looks. Stay hydrated and take special care of your skin. Have a happy summer…
